Avi Issacharoff
Avi Issacharoff, Middle East Affairs Correspondent for Ha'aretz newspaper, met with the Conference of Presidents to discuss Israel, Middle East affairs and his experiences covering Palestinian issues. Mr. Issacharoff also teaches modern Palestinian history at Ben Gurion University. Prior to Haaretz, he covered Palestinian issues for Israeli public radio and Israeli TV and Middle East affairs for Israeli public radio, receiving the Israeli Public Radio Best Reporter award for 2001-2002. He has collaborated on two books: The Seventh War: The Real Story of the Al-Aqsa Intifada (2004), which won a special award from the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies for best research in Israeli security for 2005, and 34 Days: Israel, Hezbollah and the War in Lebanon (2008), which received a special award from the Institute for National Security Studies for best research in Israeli security for 2008.
