Conference of Presidents Receives Charity Navigator's Top Rating

New York, July 9, 2009 …The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations has again received the highest rating, four stars, from Charity Navigator, America’s premier independent charity evaluator. Charity Navigator evaluates the finances and fiscal management of more than 5,400 charities and grants this highest rating to approximately a quarter of those charities.

According to Ken Berger, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, its highest rating indicates that the Conference of Presidents “executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way and outperforms most other charities in America. This ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates the Conference of Presidents from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

“The Conference of Presidents is proud to have earned this designation once again that reflects our sound fiscal management and our vital work serving the Jewish community. Our efforts to promote the interests of the American Jewish community, strengthen the US-Israel relationship and mobilize American support for the national and international issues of concern to our community are matched with our efforts for financial accountability and responsibility as an organization,” said Executive Vice Chairman Malcolm Hoenlein and Chairman Alan Solow. “In these challenging times, we believe this meaningful designation recognizes our efforts to utilize the support of our member organizations and our donors’ generosity for maximum benefit.”
