Leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations today denounced the latest installment of one-sided, distorted anti-Israel resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly, as an attack on Israel, an affront to Jews, Christians and other faith traditions and an assault on the core values of the United Nations Charter.

November 25, 2016, New York, NY, … Leaders of the Conference of Presidents today expressed gratitude to the many countries who are providing crucial assistance to Israel in battling the devastating fires that threatened the property and safety of tens of thousands of Israelis. Among those nations sending firefighters and equipment were Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Palestinian Authority, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine. The U.S. is also deploying personnel and firefighting equipment to assist in extinguishing the remaining blazes.

Leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations called on UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee to reject attempts to erase the irrefutable historical religious heritage of Judaism, Christianity and faith traditions other than Islam to the Old City of Jerusalem.

October 13, 2016 New York, NY - - Leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations today expressed gratitude to Ambassador Dore Gold for his service to the people and government of Israel as Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Decision by UNESCO’s Executive Board once again erases the indisputable historical connection to holy sites in Jerusalem of Jews, Christians and faith traditions other than Islam.

The resolution to be considered in the upcoming days, proposed on behalf of the Palestinians by a group of Arab and Muslim states “purposefully distorts, denigrates and seeks to deny the millennia long historical reality of the profound Jewish connection to sites which are among the holiest in Judaism, Christianity and other faith traditions.”
