Jewish leaders must stand against Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and xenophobia, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with heads of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, National Coalition Supporting Soviet Jewry and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

The sides noted that such meetings had already become traditional, opened good opportunities for conducting a mutual exchange of views and contributed to the strengthening of cooperation.

For five days at Jerusalem’s Inbal Hotel last week, a parade of Israel’s most prominent politicians, analysts, defense heads, high-tech innovators and more took their turns to address a room filled with over 100 American Jewish leaders from the 52 member groups and the Leadership Council of the grandly titled Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations.

Jerusalem, February 18, 2016...President Reuven Rivlin welcomed the delegates of the 42nd annual Conference of Presidents’ Leadership Mission to Israel at his official residence, Beit HaNasi, and told the more than 100 American Jewish leaders that he hoped that Israel would not become a divisive topic in this election season. “Support for Israel has never been and must not become a partisan issue,” he said.

Jerusalem, February 17, 2016…The 42nd annual COP Leadership Mission to Israel delegation spent their fourth day on the country’s borders with Syria and Lebanon for off-the-record briefings and later delved into Diaspora-Israel relations and the status of Israeli Arabs.
While on the northern borders, the group learned about issues specific to the Syrian and Lebanese fronts, met with high-level IDF officers and heard from young men and women soldiers about their day-to-day roles and responsibilities defending the nation.

Jerusalem, Feb. 16, 2016...Leader of the Opposition and Head of the Zionist Union Party, Isaac Herzog, declared in address to the 42nd annual COP Leadership Mission to Israel delegation this morning that “the true reality is that we are in the midst of the Third Intifada, which clearly has the support of various groups and schools of thought in the Muslim world.” Herzog noted that eight attempted terrorist attacks occurred just yesterday.

Jerusalem, Feb. 15, 2016...In an address to the more than 100 Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations delegates on the second day of its 42nd consecutive annual Leadership Mission to Israel, Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said that Israel will not intervene in the Syrian civil war, though Israel is supplying humanitarian support.
