Malcolm Hoenlein, CEO of Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations will attend the funeral of the late Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, on Monday, January 13, 2014. Both Mr. Hoenlein, personally, and the Conference of Presidents enjoyed a close working relationship and special ties to the late Prime Minister. He appeared before the Conference both in Israel and the United States on many occasions in his various capacities. He saw his role not only as the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, but also as a leader of the Jewish people.
